Star One's new youth oriented show- Mile Jab Hum Tum
Star One is ready with its new show- Miley Jab Hum Tum. The show will start from September 22 and will be shown at 9 pm from Monday to Thursday. This show has replaced Pari Hoon Main which is being pulled off air due to its decreased popularity.
Star One is basically a youth oriented channel by Star group. When the channel started it had Remix which became a major hit at that time. The currently running show Dil Mil Gaye which is the story of young doctors is also one of the main serials of the channel till date. Zara Nach Ke Dikha- the dance based reality show is also being liked very much by the audiences. In fact the famous celebrity dance show- Nach Baliye also started from Star One then it was shifted to Star Plus due to its increasing popularity. And now the channel has yet another show in the list- Miley Jab Hum Tum.
Miley Jab Hum Tum is a story of college going students. The story will revolve around 5 main characters- Samrat, Mayank, Gunjan, Nupur and Diya. There is also one funny character Uday who will add some humor to the show. The briefing of the characters is as follows:
1) Samraat: Played by Mohit Sehgal. One of the main leads of the show. Smaraat is the top basket ball player of the college. He is smart, dashing and fun loving. He is the heart throb of all the girls of the college.
2) Diya: Played by Navina Bole. She is the Diva of the college. She is the hottest and the most happening girl of the college. All the boys in the college are after her but she likes Samraat.
Diya hangs around with Samraat and considers him as her boy friend but Samraat doesn't feel like that. He is in search of his dream girl. This situation becomes even worse for Diya when Gunjan enters the college with her sister Nupur. They are small town girls so they are down market for Diya. But Samraat falls for Gunjan inspite of her being very shy and introvert. So a love triangle is formed.
3) Gunjan: Played by Sanaya Irani. We have seen her before in Left Right Left and Radha Ki Betiyan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi. She is shy and reclusive. She is very studious kind. She often talks to her mother's picture that is no more.
4) Mayank: played by Arjun Bijlani. We know him as Alekh of Left Right Left. Recently he is also doing Mohe Rang De.The other main lead of the show. He is very quite and studious kind. He is smart, intelligent and hard working kind. And then Nupur entered in his life that is exactly opposite and they both end up being together.
5) Nupur: played by Rati Pandey. Earlier she has done Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai where she played one of the main leads Prarthana. She is very bubbly kind. She is extrovert and outspoken. When in her own town she was the spark and style icon of the city. But the situation is not the same for her in this new college in Mumbai. Still she tries. And there is also a love hate relationship with Mayank.
Apart from these 5 main characters there is one more interesting character in the storyline- Uday.
Uday: Played by Jas Karan Singh . He is Diya's twin brother and he is just one minute younger to her. So she used to pester him.
The characters of Samraat, Gunjan, Diya and Uday remind us of Disney's movie- High School Musical. This same kind of college based story format has been used in many serials before, but still it will be a great fun to watch it again. So wait for few more days to be a part of this new show by Star One.

Karan Singh Grover aka Dr. Armaan's elder cousin Jas Karan Singh comes into limelight with Star One's new show Miley Jab Hum Tum. This is his third show on television.
Elaborating on his character he explains, "Uday's character is the comic element in the story. He is Dia's brother. More brawn and less brain and is always bullied by his sister. There is a lot of similarity between Uday and Jas. I was the first one to be finalized. I didn't have to audition for the role too."
Talking about his relationship with Karan Singh Grover he quips, "Karan is younger to me by just one month. We not only share a good rapport as brothers but also are thick friends. Karan influences me a lot. If I have a doubt about anything, I ask him. In other words we are carbon copy of each other. We both have struggled a lot to enter into this industry. Karan has finally got his share of popularity and always gives me the assurance that even I'll get my fame," he adds further.
Let's wait and watch whether Jay is able to get his taste of fame like Karan. Till then we wish him luck!

Nupur:In small town (Morena), Nupur was like a spark of electricity for the lazy town. Outspoken and extroverted Nupur has the uncanny ability to chat and yap with anyone and any language. According to small town standards atleast, Nupur is a style icon of sorts. She always manages to conjure up ways of standing out of the crowd. she wears little ghungroos on her footwear, carefully matches hairband with an interesting salwar suit. Whatever you may say this girl is a Diva in Morena or atleast she believes that she is!
She has all types of friends from school to college to canteen and net friends. Motto in life: Chin up! In the City, she faces just the opposite of what she experienced in Morena. She finds it really hard to make even acquaintances forget making friends. Her find for a smart, handsome, popular dream man ends on Mayank who is a simple and somber personality.
GunjanIf her elder sister Nupur is like an energetic river, the younger Gunjan is like a still lake. She has a calming effect because of her contemplative nature. Even though the elder Nupur thinks that bachchi, as she calls her fondly, thinks too much. Even if she has to decide which way to take for her new college, she would go through all the pros and cons much to the irritation of the elder one.
She has her own sweet charm. She is shy and reclusive. A studious girl who always came home from school and did her homework before she ate her food. Likes to live a simple non-complicated life. Gunjan was very close to her mother. She oftens misses her and talks to her picture. She doesn't share her feelings about mother with her father or elder sister. Though being a simple and calm character she ends up being with the hottest boy in the college - Samrat.
SamratOur hero of the college. Cool Dude... Fun loving. He is famous because he is good looking as well as he is the top sportsman in the college. He likes to play pranks but he doesn't mean to hurt anybody. Little overconfident Basket ball star who has won many trophies for his college. Girls drool over him.
Samrat's character is one of "MASTI" he won't be a "kameena". So very clearly he prides everything he does. he jokes and takes light hearted pot shots but can never be projected as mean. Though he hangs out with Diya but his relationship with Diya isn't a committed one. He likes hanging around with Diya, as she is gorgeous but it is from Diya's perspective a relationship that is meant to happen.
Mayank:While Diya is a diva and Samrat is a cool dude of college, Mayank is a straight and focused academic. He is witty, well read, smart and intelligent and understands that hard work is what is going to help achieve goals for him. He will finally get along with Nupur, a girl completely opposite his character.
Diya:She is the Diva in her college. She is the most hot and happening girl in college. Most of the girls are jealous of her and those who are not, they are in her gang. All the boys in the college are just too fascinated by her. She is a trendsetter in looks and carries her clothes with great confidence.
Everyone likes Diya, but she likes Samrat. She hangs around with him most of the time giving others an impression that Samrat is her boy friend but samrat doesn't think like that. This equaton takes a sharp turn when Samrat falls for Gunjan. Diya uses even Uday to get her things done. She has a gang of three chamchas - A,B and C who follow her in every aspect.
Uday: Uday has a complex. He tries to put up this brave exterior, but somewhere inside he is a scary poo. He is actually very scared of various things - his sister, cockroaches, Samrat (but doesn't show it), dark, he is even scared of catching a ball lest he drops the catch.
He works out a lot and has all kinds of paraphernalia for exercise. Also his hands get clammy when he is nervous…so to hide his under-confidence he claps his hands often and whistles. Diya is elder to Uday by a minute. She has always been bullying him so the first chance he gets to bully someone… he grabs it!
